The MemoPryl Formula: What Is Named, What Is Missing

Quick answer

The MemoPryl formula is named on a sibling pack as six ingredients: phosphatidylserine, ginkgo biloba leaf, N-acetyl L-carnitine HCl, St. John's wort, brahmi and L-glutamine. No amounts, other ingredients or Supplement Facts panel are printed on any image we have, so the bottle you receive decides.

Label A: Cognitive Support Formula, 30 capsules. Label B calls it Advanced Formula.

What is in the MemoPryl formula?

Six ingredient names are tied to it. They come from a sibling MemoPryl pack, and they are unconfirmed for the bottle you receive.

The two bottle images we have print no ingredient list at all. Label A is called "Cognitive Support Formula*" and label B "Advanced Formula". The names below come from the seller's product notes.

  1. 1PhosphatidylserineIn the seller's notes · no printed amount
  2. 2Ginkgo biloba LeafIn the seller's notes · no printed amount
  3. 3N-Acetyl L-Carnitine HClIn the seller's notes · no printed amount
  4. 4St. John's WortIn the seller's notes · no printed amount
  5. 5Brahmi / Bacopa monnieriIn the seller's notes · no printed amount
  6. 6L-GlutamineIn the seller's notes · no printed amount

According to the seller's notes, these six appear "on a sibling MemoPryl pack from the same listing family", and the notes say to confirm the current bottle. None of our bottle images shows a Supplement Facts panel, so the panel order is unknown; the order here follows the seller's notes, not the label.

What is missing from the MemoPryl formula?

Everything that turns a list of names into a formula: the amounts, the serving, the other ingredients and the directions.

Without amounts, you cannot compare the capsule with any study. We print none because the seller's notes says not to invent milligrams.

How do the studied amounts compare with the formula?

They cannot be compared yet. Studies used set daily amounts, and the capsule's amounts are unknown.

Phosphatidylserine was tested at 100 or 300 mg a day in one small trial (Kato-Kataoka 2010, soy PS trial). Ginkgo extract was tested at 120 mg twice a day in the GEM trial (DeKosky 2008, GEM trial, JAMA). Bacopa trials ran at least 12 weeks (Kongkeaw 2014, Bacopa meta-analys.). The bars show those studied ranges, with a dashed bar for what MemoPryl does not print.

The gold bars show daily amounts from human studies, and the light part marks the range. The dashed bar stays empty, since none of the bottle images prints an amount. No study has tested MemoPryl itself.

What should you do before trusting any formula list?

Read the Supplement Facts panel on your own bottle, and take it to a pharmacist. A name list is a lead, not proof of what is inside.

Two names matter for safety. St. John's wort can weaken many medicines, while ginkgo may raise bleeding risk (FDA, Mixing Meds and Supplements). Stay on prescribed medicine, and check with your doctor or pharmacist before you begin.

Natural does not mean safe (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely). More on each name is on the ingredients page.

FAQ01

Questions people ask about MemoPryl

Is the MemoPryl formula a proprietary blend?

We cannot say. No Supplement Facts panel is printed on any image we have, so we do not know if amounts are listed one by one or hidden in a blend. Check the panel on your bottle.

Why do the two MemoPryl formula names differ?

Label A reads Cognitive Support Formula and label B reads Advanced Formula. We cannot explain it. The images may show different packs or designs. The bottle you receive is the source of truth for the name and the contents.

Can I trust a formula list without amounts?

Only as a starting point. A list of names does not tell you how much of each is inside, so you cannot judge benefit or risk. Ask for the facts panel, and show it to a pharmacist.
