Is MemoPryl Safe? Medicines, Surgery and Age

Quick answer

Is MemoPryl safe? It depends on you. No study has tested the product, and no warnings are printed on the images we have. Two named ingredients carry real risks: St. John's wort weakens many medicines and ginkgo may raise bleeding risk. Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, and keep taking prescribed medicine.

Is MemoPryl safe for most adults?

No one can call it safe for most adults, because no safety study of MemoPryl exists and no warnings appear on any image we hold.

FDA does not approve supplements for safety before sale (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements), and "natural" does not mean safe (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely). Read the full label, then use the checks below.

Is MemoPryl safe with prescription medicine?

Not without a pharmacist's check. Two of the six names can clash with common prescriptions.

St. John's wort can weaken antidepressants, birth control pills, warfarin, some seizure, heart, HIV and cancer drugs (NCCIH, St. John's Wort safety). With certain antidepressants it can cause a dangerous rise in serotonin (NCCIH, St. John's Wort in depth). Ginkgo, warfarin, aspirin and vitamin E can each thin the blood, and together may raise the risk of internal bleeding (FDA, Mixing Meds and Supplements).

Do not stop a prescription to try a supplement. Check with your doctor or pharmacist before you begin.

Is MemoPryl safe before surgery?

Tell your surgeon before the date. People are often asked to stop supplements two to three weeks before a procedure (FDA, Mixing Meds and Supplements).

One cancer center advises stopping St. John's wort at least one week before surgery (MSK, St. John's Wort). Name every product on every form.

Is MemoPryl safe for older adults, pregnancy or teens?

It is sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Older adults often take several medicines, which raises interaction risk, so a pharmacist review matters most for them.

St. In pregnancy, John's wort may be unsafe (NCCIH, St. John's Wort safety)..

1. Are you on any prescription medicine, or under a doctor's care?

4. Is surgery or a dental procedure coming up, do you have a bleeding disorder, or do you take aspirin?
5. Do changes in memory or thinking worry you, in yourself or someone close?

What should you do if you react badly?

Stop taking it and seek medical advice. Then report the problem to FDA.

FDA lists allergic reactions, heart symptoms, bleeding and stroke-like symptoms as serious (FDA, Report a Supplement Problem). Call emergency services for those.

More on effects is on the side effects page. If memory worries you, see when to see a doctor.

FAQ01

Questions people ask about MemoPryl

Does MemoPryl have a safety warning on the bottle?

We have seen no warnings on any image, since both are front views. Your bottle should carry them. Read them before the first capsule, and if none are printed, call the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 before you use it.

Could a capsule with St. John's wort raise serotonin syndrome risk?

Possibly, if it holds St. John's wort and you take certain antidepressants. The six names come from a sibling pack, so confirm your bottle. Symptoms include agitation, fast heartbeat and fever, and need urgent care.

Is MemoPryl safe for someone with a seizure history?

Ask a doctor first. Ginkgo has been linked to seizures in people at risk, and carnitine can cause seizures in people with seizure disorders. Whether your bottle holds either is unconfirmed, so the facts panel matters.
