Supplement Safety Seal Damaged: What to Do

Quick answer

If a supplement safety seal is damaged or missing, do not take the capsules. Keep the bottle and the box, photograph everything, and contact the seller. For MemoPryl, call the order desk or email with your order ID. If you already took some and feel unwell, call your doctor.

First move01

What should I do if my supplement safety seal is damaged?

Do not take any capsules. Set the bottle aside and keep everything it came in.

According to FDA, some products contain ingredients that the label leaves out (FDA, Hidden Ingredients). A broken seal is a reason to be careful, not to guess.

Take clear photos of the seal, the cap, the label and the shipping box. Write down the date it arrived.

Do not throw the bottle away yet. The seller or your pharmacist may want to see it, and the lot number printed on it helps trace the order.

Keep taking prescribed medicine.

A bad bottle does not change your prescriptions. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions.

Who to call02

The listed window is 60 days and should be confirmed at checkout. The listed return rule is that the buyer pays return shipping, so ask the desk who pays when a bottle arrives damaged. See the refund policy.

Dates03

How do I check the expiry date on a supplement?

Read the bottle. No expiry, storage or directions text is printed on any MemoPryl image we have.

The two bottle images also disagree on capsule count, 30 or 60. Trust the bottle that arrives over any page. If it shows no date or no Supplement Facts panel, ask the seller before you take it.

If you took some04

What if I already took capsules from a damaged bottle?

Stop using the product and seek medical advice if you feel unwell (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).

For a serious reaction, FDA says to stop at once and report it through its Safety Reporting Portal (FDA, Report a Supplement Problem). Keep the bottle for your doctor to read.

Store unopened bottles as the label directs. No storage text is printed on any image we have, so follow your bottle and ask a pharmacist if it is unclear.

The batch verify page explains why the lot numbers are seller references, not lab proof.

FAQ05

Damaged bottle questions

Can I return a supplement with a broken seal?

Contact the seller and ask. For MemoPryl, call the order desk with your order ID and photos. Return terms, including who pays shipping, should be confirmed with the desk and at checkout.

Is a dented bottle unsafe?

A dent alone does not prove anything, but a broken or missing seal means you cannot tell if it was opened. When in doubt, do not take it and ask the seller or a pharmacist.

Who should hear about a bad reaction after a damaged bottle?

FDA points to its Safety Reporting Portal for serious reactions. Stop using the product first, seek medical help, and keep the bottle.

Should I keep the packaging?

Yes. Keep the bottle, the cap, the box and any slip until the issue is settled. The order desk or a pharmacist may ask for them, and they help show what arrived.
